PHYS 103 Conceptual Physics and Applications I (3)This course is the first of a two-semester sequence that provides a conceptual survey of physics’ central laws, theories, and concepts with their applications to modern technology and the scientific process. An emphasis will be given to the social, historical, and philosophical context in which physics discoveries and theories occur and the impact of these discoveries on modern society. Topics may include the laws of motion, Newtonian, energy, and heat. Corequisite(s): PHYS 103L Course Frequency: Fall Note: The target audience of the PHYS 103/104 sequence is non-science majors. PHYS 103/104 does not prepare students for the MCAT or a similar test.
